Mary Buford grew up in the Midwest, the oldest of six children. She was born into the Catholic faith, which she enjoys sharing with others. As her stories center around a Catholic priest, by the name of Father Lance Thomas, you won't find reference to him immediately in each of her stories. If you only wish to purchase one book, she hopes that it's the most recent book release, as she considers herself to continue improving with time & experience.

"BROKEN WING PHOENIX" is released! The 2019 latest book release focuses on a band from Madison, Wisconsin. The main character centers around a gentleman who wrote a song for the author in 1994. (The song is not part of this publication.) Not only is his personality highlighted, but those in the city whom were an influence for Ms. Buford are accentuated as well. The four members of the band are classmates and friends, who learn to grow together in faith and music. A turn of events has them questioning the existence of God, as well as themselves. What is around the next bend? You'll want to read "Broken Wing Phoenix" to find out. Music written by Mary Buford, herself are the central focus of this book. She hopes you take the time to read it this holiday season.

"BROKEN WING PEACOCK" is the 2018 book release by Mary Buford. The book takes place in St. Charles, Minnesota; a small town that Mary Buford visited for a driving-break in 2014. The main characters are fictional, however some of their experiences couldn't be more real. The abandoned farmhouse on Peacock Road has unique qualities that mirror some real life events that have happed to Ms. Buford over the years. The characters are a young couple, Spensley & Rosina Bailey, who find themselves running from a past for a brighter future. You'll find yourself wondering what happens next as they become familiar with the small Minnesota town, which will charm your hearts. Father Lance Thomas is present in what you could call a miracle of strength. As with all of Buford's stories, events that are normally unseen will come to light in this 2018 book release.

"BROKEN WING LOCUST" released by Mary Buford in 2017, focuses on an author who reflects Mary Buford's own personality, even going so far as to describe her own high school crush in detail. The book centers on the successes and falls of two adults, now in their 40's. The priest, Father Lance Thomas makes another 'broken wing' appearance, which will not disappoint regular readers of Mary Buford's. When asked about her upcoming release, she simply stated: "This romance story takes me home in so many ways. I actually thought about my high school crush, praying for him throughout my life at times. Looking back at my life and where I came from, I've learned to appreciate having that place that I can always come home to. I hope everyone has that. If not, travel with me throughout these pages. You'll be glad you did." The book is dedicated in memory of her Grandmother, who passed away in January 2017, who loved to read a good romance.

"The idea of BROKEN WING DRAGON came from those same students I enjoy teaching. Often times, they ask about God, and his creation of Satan. Most are intrigued by the 'glamorous' side of evil, without seeing the dangers. I hope Broken Wing Dragon helps to see how easy it is to get trapped in the lies that are whispered in our minds, and fed to us by a somewhat Godless society."

BROKEN WING SPARROW, published in 2014, highlighted the life of a Catholic priest who received his calling more than once in his life. He is troubled by his profession that he no longer remembers, and tries to adapt to a world that he didn't see before. "I hope Broken Wing Sparrow demonstrates my respect for priests", she stated when asked. She credited many priests, including her current priest, those she's known in her life growing up, and a cousin who is a Bishop.

Ms. Buford is currently working on her next book, which is slated for 2020. The sixth book will complete the 'Broken Wing' book series.

She lives with her husband & daughter in the Midwest.

 Rosary Making

"The art of rosary making was taught to me by my Great-Aunt Margaret. She demonstrated how to effectively link together beads, chain, the center & the crucifix. Most importantly she taught me to continue to follow God after my Grandmother (her sister) died in 2005. It was a difficult time for me, as it seemed as though my entire world was crashing down. God held my heart during this troubled time, and has given me so many more gifts for me to share with this world. What a blessing it was for me to learn to make rosaries, as I feel as though I am helping others to pray".
